Sour Moong Kari


  • 1 cup moong beans
  • 2 cup sour buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon kari leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin _coriander powder


In a pressure cooker add moong beans, wash it and add 1 glass of water cover the lid and make 3 whistle

Let it cool and add buttermilk and put on low Flame.

In a pan add oil, heat it then add mustard, cumin

Then add Kari leaves and garlic paste

Then add asafetida, turmeric powder, cumin _coriander powder, red chilli powder

And pore this in boiling moong beans

Then boil it for 10 min. On low flame

Then add chopped coriander and serve it in serving plate and garnish with coriander steam.
